Hi! My name is Waverly Reagan Williams, and I am the 10-year old Owner of and Lead Candle Maker for Waves Wicks. My LOVE for candle making started from a Daddy-Daughter activity when I was six years old. At first, this weekend craft served as a fun way to make gifts for friends and families. With help from my Mommy, I have grown this weekend activity into my very own candle business. 

During the development of Waves Wicks, I have learned new techniques for wicking candles, testing scents, and designing labels. My first showcase was at the Durham Children’s Business Fair. That opportunity exposed me to a new market for weddings, parties and holiday events.  

The best part about making candles is perfecting the scent. I LOVE adding my special ingredient, when I hand pour each container!

I hope Waves Wicks will grow into a bigger business that will allow me to support organizations for mental health and homelessness. After each showcase, I work with my Mommy and Daddy to send a portion to charity. The rest goes back into my business and college fund.
